TRAINING COURSE
BASIC CONCEPT
The trend of ‘going back to nature’ is not only in developed
countries but also in developing countries such as Indonesia.
The spirit of going back to nature can be seen by the big
interest toward herbal medicine. Unfortunately there are
lacks of knowledge of herbal medicine in the society.Herbal Medicine
Training Course which is conducted by Karyasari.
Herbal Medicine Development Center is to give contribution to
health practitioner and anybody have interest on herbal, to
know, to understand and to use the Indonesian herbal medicines,
and also to produce them.
  
TYPE OF COURSES
1. Basic / General Herbal Medicine Training Course.
This course is conducted for Doctors, Traditional Therapist,
Pharmacist and other professional that is related to herbal
medicine. (Professional class)
Course conducted in 7 days from Monday until Sunday (hour 07.30-17.00)
Materials discussed in the training are :
a. The Philosophy of Herbal Medicine
b. Agricultural Aspects in Producing Dried Herbs
c. Technical Aspects in Processing Herbal Medicine
d. Biological Aspects of 100 species of Indonesian Herbal
Medicinee. How to use 100 types of herbal medicine for treatment of
the 9 most important diseases :
Cancer and tumor
Hypertension : stroke and heart disease
Hepatitis, cholecystitis and spleen stone
Sexual disorder, impotency and frigidity
Bronchial asthma pulmonary diseases and breathing tracts
Renal stone, prostate and urinary tracts
Gastritis, hemorrhoids and uric acid
Rheumatic and uric acid
Diabetes and endocrine diseases

This Training Course cost Rp 1.000.000,-per person. For
foreigner, additional cost will be needed for English speaking
teacher and translation of books.
The training cost includes; lunch
and snacks, certificate,
test and test materials, Agro-tour, Membership Card and
3-months Herba magazine subscription. The cost not included,
six books of course materials which are cost about Rp 150.000,-
consultation cards and Rp 100.000,- for examination and
diploma.
The training is conducted monthly in two types of
schedules.
There are Weekend Schedules and Full Week Schedules which is
conducted intermittently, means that if one month is Weekend
Schedule the next month is Full Week Schedule.
2. Advance Herbal
Medicine Training Course.
After finished the Basic/General Herbal Medicine Training
Course, participant may continue with Advance Herbal
Medicine Training Courses which is presented in three
grades i.e. Grades I, Grade II and Grade III. Each grade
of this advance course is conducted in one week which
consists of 72 sessions. Each session is 45 minutes.
The purpose of the Advance Herbal Training Course is to
change an herbalist to become professional herbalist who
is also having the skill on herbal processing and mixing.
He should familiar with more than 200 herbs, know the
extraction technology, got the understandings about
anatomy and physiology of human body, diseases, healthy
food for healing and has the capability to diagnose, and
also understand the herbalist ethics. Beside that the
trainee must has the experience of practicing therapy that
is examined and should pass the examination. Herbalist
that has such competency is considered to be professional
herbalist.
The one week in class training is mainly discussing
introduction and some most important chapters of a lesson,
the rest must be learn by the trainee as a self study
with the guidance of the trainer (lecturer) through
temporary consultation. For this purpose in this
program the trainee can get the consultation cards as
necessary. Consultation can be done by meeting the
trainer, by phone, e-mail or letter. The exam is
conducted 2 or 3 months after the in class training, means
that there are enough time for self study and
consultation.
The trainer for this Advance Course are Lecturer
and
Professional on Pharmaceutical Sciences and Medical
Sciences, they are Professor, Chemist, Specialist Medical
Doctor, General Medical Doctor, Agriculturist and
Biologist.

The Grade I Advance Training Course is cost Rp 1.200.000,-per
person. For foreigner, additional cost will be needed for
English speaking teacher and translation of books.The training cost
includes; lunch and snacks and certificate.
The cost not include six books of course materials which are
cost about Rp 180.000,-, laboratory cost Rp 300.000,-, library
cost Rp 200.000,-, consultation cards, and Rp 100.000,- for
examination and diploma.
The Grade II Advance Training Course is cost Rp 1.200.000,-per
person. For foreigner, additional cost will be needed for
English speaking teacher and translation of books.The training cost
includes; lunch, snacks and certificate.
The cost not include six books of course materials which are

3. Herbal Medicine Hobbyist
Training Course (Hobbyist Class).
This course is conducted for anybody who are interested in
herbal medicine. Course conducted 3 days from Friday to Sunday
(08.00-16.00). The course materials are the same as the
Basic/General Class, but shortened and simplified.
Notes;
This Training Course cost Rp 500.000,- per person. For
foreigner, additional cost will be needed for English speaking
teacher and translation of books.
The training cost includes;
training books (two books), lunch
and snacks, certificate, Membership Card and 3-months Herba
magazine subscription.
This course is not schedule monthly, it is
conducted upon
request with minimum 20 participants.
4. IN HOUSE TRAINING
This course is conducted upon request of an institution or
company and done in the ‘house’ of the institution or the
company. Karyasari trainers will come to the institution to
give training and bring all the material needed for the
training. The training course is for 3 days and can be adjust
to the institution schedule. The materials for the training
are the same as Hobbyist Class.
Notes;
This Training Course cost Rp 5.500.000,- per training.
Normally paid by the institution and maximum 30 participants.
For foreigner, additional cost will be needed for English
speaking teacher and translation of books.
The training cost
includes certificate, 6-months Herba
magazine subscription and membership card.
The training books (two
books) is paid separately which is
cost Rp 65.000,- per participants. The 110 herbal medicine
plants should be paid by institution which is cost Rp
1.100.000,-.
This course is not schedule monthly, it is conducted
upon
request.
Transportation and accommodation cost of the trainers,
books
and plants are paid by the institution.
5.DISEASE DIAGNOSIS TRAINING
This is not herbal training but training for the herbalist. The
Disease Diagnosis Training is conducted once for every three
months for the therapist to improved their diagnosis skill.
The training was given by medical doctors who are then become
the consulting partner for the therapist. Ten most important
diseases are discussed by five doctors for five days, while
another day is about the therapy approach and methods on
handling herbal medicines. So altogether are six days from 8.00
AM to 12.00 Noon.

certificate.

6. HERBAL SEMINAR
Herbal Seminar is a kind of short course that is conducted for
one day. The aim is to give a general view about herbal
medicine or the deeper knowledge of a certain disease therapy.
The
Seminar is conducted upon request of an institution or a
company. The cost is varied depend on the location and number
of speakers needed.
